POSITION PURPOSE:
Serve food and/or beverages in a friendly, courteous and professional manner according to the clubs high standards of quality.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Responds to all guest and client requests promptly and efficiently.
Set tables as instructed by Club Manager to include linen, service ware, and glassware.
Greet guests and respond to requests quickly and courteously.
Serve food and/or beverages according to company standards.
Promptly bus dishes as guests complete each course and at the end of the meal.
Replenish beverages as necessary and check with guests for overall satisfaction.
Perform all assigned side-work to include replenishing condiments and restocking supplies.
Perform general cleaning tasks to adhere to hotel standards and health guidelines.
Abide by all State, Federal, and Corporate liquor regulations.
Other:
Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, associates may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the club.
SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS:
In addition to working the breakfast buffet, the candidate must be available to work evening banquets when requested
SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.
Must have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
Knowledge of the appropriate table settings, service ware and menu items.
Ability to read, write and speak the English language sufficient to understand menus, special promotions, record orders, communicates with guests to explain and record orders.
Ability to remember, recite and promote the variety of menu items.
Ability to transport large trays weighing up to 20 lbs. through a crowded room on a continuous basis throughout shift.
Ability to operate beverage equipment.
Ability to operate a keyboard and learn Point of Sale procedures to pre-check order and close out the check.
