JOB DESCRIPTION: SERVE AUSTIN COORDINATOR

Job Classification: Part-Time, exempt Compensation: TBD based on experience

SUMMARY:
Located in the heart of The Domain, Austin Bridge is a diverse, urban church family committed to expanding God’s
Kingdom in the city of Austin and beyond, by loving God, creating disciples and loving our city. We are currently seeking an experienced part time Outreach Coordinator. This individual will be responsible for overseeing our external partnerships. This individual should support the Austin Bridge mission and vision and have a heart for biblical justice through the family. This person would be committed to the idea that Austin Bridge Church would serve as the bridge between the big “C” church and the city of Austin. The ideal candidate would possess gifts of administration, communication, creativity, and leadership.

OUTCOMES AND RESULTS – SUCCESS IN THIS POSITION WILL RESULT IN:

1. Relationships between Austin Bridge and our external partners are strong and exhibit clear communication and growth aligned with our vision, such

2. The Austin Bridge congregation has a clear understanding of our partnerships, including ways to be involved in each and there is an increase in engagement with serving these partners

3. Partner organizations would be blessed and desire continued engagement and interaction with Austin Bridge
4. Each of our areas of focus, (currently homelessness, child welfare, and Padron ES) are appropriately invested in with efforts, communications, and finances aligned with the Church’s vision and plan for the year
5. Visitors to Austin Bridge will feel welcomed, be given opportunities to plug in, and followed up with after their visit

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES:

1. Oversees the planning, managing, and execution of events related to our external partners for serving the city
2. Builds and maintains a positive relationship with all of our external partners (currently Mobile Loaves & Fishes, Padron ES, Fostering Hope, and Safe Families for Children)
3. Is involved with reaching out to newcomers to Austin Bridge
4. Attend and participate in all Austin Bridge staff meetings, events, and trainings
5. Attend weekly one on one meeting with the assigned Ministry Manager
6. Attend relevant events and trainings hosted by our external ministry partners
7. Coordinate volunteers for serving opportunities for all external partnerships
8. Committed to upholding the Austin Bridge Staff Team Covenant
9. Fulfill other duties as assigned by the Lead Pastor or Ministry Manager
10. Able to devote 20 hours per week to this position

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Above all, has a personal affection for Jesus that is growing, sincere, and contagious
2. A sincere love for ALL people far from God and a desire/conviction to see them enter the family of God
3. Believes in the mission and vision of Austin Bridge
4. Works well with a team and under a manager. Desires to be a family first, before an organization
5. Non-profit experience preferred, but not required
6. Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
7. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
8. Ability to manage multiple projects at one time and meet deadlines

9. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive information
10. Ability to maintain positive relationships with various external partners
11. Ability to mobilize, encourage, and lead teams within Austin Bridge
12. Ability to implement the church’s vision for serving the city of Austin
13. Ability to disciple individuals and groups within the congregation, thereby reproducing leaders who in turn will make disciples.
14. Relationally and emotionally intelligent, having a “positive wake” and maintaining a welcoming presence for all, living above reproach biblically, and committed to solving conflict biblically.
15. Ability to make oneself available and known to attendees and leaders within the church.
