Arcadis seeks a Senior Water Wastewater Engineer / Project Manager with experience in consultancy on large-scale/highly complex projects, to join our team in Guaynabo, PR.
Role description:

This position is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated, team-oriented, and flexible individual with the initiative and ability to develop business, lead pursuits, and tackle new projects, challenges, and concepts, to join our local team and lead water/wastewater projects. The successful applicant will utilize their expertise and technical knowledge in conveyance and treatment processes, along with their previous project management and business development expertise, to successfully lead and execute projects primarily in the Puerto Rico Aqueduct and Sewer Authority.
Role accountabilities:
- Leading and directing the development of water and wastewater projects as a client-facing project manager.
- Managing the planning, design, and construction administration of projects to ensure compliance with contracts, drawings, specifications, codes, statutes, rules, and regulations, as well as Arcadis quality and safety practices.
- Communicate with clients, establishing goals and objectives for project teams, and scheduling and coordinating resources to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the performance expectations of the client.
- Provide technical expertise on multi-disciplined projects as a Project Manager, QA/QC reviewer or technical advisor.
- Support the work of others while mentoring junior level engineers and technical staff.
- Work directly with clients to determine needs and deliver solutions and lead the growth of client relationships with target clients.
- Support teams in the marketing and proposal phases of projects including preparation of winning proposals and successful presentations, as well as developing scopes of work and budgets for various water, and wastewater projects.
Qualifications & Experience:
Required Qualifications
- 10 years of experience
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering
- P.E. License in Puerto Rico
Key Skills/Attributes
- Excellent technical engineering and Project/Task Management skills in the W/WW practice area.
- Project experience including design and construction of water distribution systems, wastewater collection systems, Water/Wastewater treatment systems, and pump/lift stations.
- Project experience with pipeline and pump station design projects.
- Strong, clear, and concise written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent technical writing skills.
- Experience managing preparation of and reviewing and approving project drawings, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates.
- Client relationship skills; including preparation and development of proposals and client management experience with a successful track record of delivering various engineering projects to the expectations of the client.
- Functional experience with MS Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Project Management experience on municipal water or wastewater projects of large sizes
- Master's in Civil, Environmental, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
- 15 years’ experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
