What does Systems Integration & Test (SI&T) do?

SI&T integrates, verifies, and validates our products. We put our systems together, exercise them in the lab or in the field, measure and analyze performance, and make sure our products work the first time and every time. To accomplish this, we develop plans and procedures, debug and evaluate system functions and interfaces, develop test environments, and work hand-in-hand with our customers.

Job Summary:

The Radars and Sensors Center within Systems Integration and Test seeks a talented Senior Systems Engineer to join our team supporting integration data analysis that covers a wide array of testing. We support testing activities that range from design verification and qualification testing, intert missile integration and testing, flight test round assembly and test, missile system testing, platform integration testing, and range integration testing.

We develop test plans and procedures, debug and evaluate system functions and interfaces, verify system requirements in support of final sell-off to the customer, and integrate hardware and software.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

• On and off-site integration data analysis including, but not limited to, design verification testing, inert operational missile integration and testing, flight test round assembly and test, qualification testing, functional testing, missile system testing, platform integration testing, and range integration testing
• Performing regression testing to verify equipment/code updates do not impact non-modified code and test measurements/results
• Implementing software package installations to support testing of production hardware to certify equipment standardization and alignment across production facilities
• Ensuring test and evaluation processes are conducted according to established procedures and support change reviews prior to implementing instrumentation updates
• Troubleshooting integration issues and providing failure identification, characterization, and resolution
• Supporting failure/troubleshooting data analyses, including root cause and corrective action processes and advanced use of lab or field test equipment
• Communicating in a multi-disciplinary team in an engineering environment and support code excution verification tasks with team counterparts across various locations
• Developing and verifying test plans and procedures and utilizing laboratory test equipment

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Bachelors in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree (Masters) with minimum 3 years of prior relevant experience. Relevant experience includes Systems Engineering and/or System Integration, Verification and Validation experience for Department of Defense systems AND
  • Experience using tools such as MATLAB, Python, C/C++, or other similar programming language

• Experience executing systems engineering activities (resolving technical questions, creating test plans, automating test scripts, developing processes for handling large telemetry data sets, performing board and sub-assembly through complete products hardware integration, formatting and recording equipment, conducting performance analysis, and using benchtop laboratory test equipment/ COTS testers) within a team environment
• Experience analyzing electrical system requirements, troubleshooting technical issues with software or electronics systems, understanding troubleshooting and failure processes, performing risk identification and mitigation, following processes, and handling sensitive information
• Ability to periodically travel (CONUS and/or OCONUS), support extended work hours on short notice and work with colleagues who represent a diversity of work and conflict resolution styles while supporting test program objectives
• The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Value:

• Experience including test, integration, or verification and validation methods in a missile production environment and developing or evaluating requirements
• Experience integrating software with hardware/electronics, establishing configuration control processes, using Linux/UNIX, and familiarity with NI Teststand, SSI, & ATEasy, C#, PSPICE, C++, and MATLAB
• Experience with requirements test development, test analysis, derivations, verification and test validation, and creating integration and verification strategies to support efficiency improvements
• Demonstrating a basic understanding of RF power sequencing and analysis and being familiar withTLM analysis
• Proficient analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to simplify complex problems by utitilizing first principles to develop conclusions
• Ability to perform effectively in an environment with frequent and direct interaction with customers and peers, function efficiently in diverse teams by being able to mulit-task, and being customer oriented and results driven
• Current/Active DoD security clearance or SSBI
