Responsibilities:

As a Senior Systems Engineer with MTSI, you will provide technical support for life cycle management, to include system acquisition, development, integration, deployment, operations, and sustainment. The position requires working knowledge of program planning, execution management, and integration of complex programs and systems. Must have relevant experience in requirement development, management & verification and program office support.

Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:
  • Provide program engineering support to include contractor performance tracking, milestone planning, briefing preparation, staff coordination, and decision document preparation. Support documentation development including Request for Proposals (RFPs), Statements of Objectives (SOO), Performance Work Statements (PWS), and Statements of Work (SOW). Provide systems engineering support, to include: mission, architecture and system performance analysis; requirement management, verification, and validation; system integration support; configuration management; Deficiency Reporting tracking; risk management; and interface control management. Leads end-to-end systems engineering and mission-critical program security and logistics efforts.


Qualifications:

Required:
  • 15 + years of Military operations, experience with sensor products for new or legacy systems, command and control, and communication architectures experience– (Required)
  • 5+ years experience supporting ACAT-I acquisition programs – (Highly Desired)
  • Experience with programs requiring enhanced security measures – (Desired)
  • Experience with JIRA and DOORS – (Highly Desired)
Desired:
  • Knowledge of data interface standards and communication protocols including RS-422, RS-485, MIL-STD-1553, MIL-STD-1760, Internet Protocol Communication, C, C++, Java, Jira, Confluence, Git, and VxWorks – Highly Desired
  • Experience in Multi-Domain/Multi-Level Security architectures – Highly Desired
  • System safety/airworthiness process experience for FAA or DoD certification – Desired
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor Degree (electrical, computer, systems, or software engineering or computer science) from an accredited university – Required
  • Graduate Degree – Desired
Clearance Requirements:
  • TS/SCI (top secret/SCI)
