Summary
The Senior Stock Plan Administrator oversees the global administration, communication and compliance of Workiva's equity plans. In this role you will process, analyze and communicate all aspects of Workiva's equity plans. You will evaluate best practices and developments in applicable laws to drive changes in equity plan design and implementation globally.
What You'll Do
  • Manage and process all equity transactions in compliance with current U.S. and international rules and regulations, SOX controls and governing stock plan documents
  • Manage day-to-day equity administration, including integrity of data in the stock administration database and timely recording of new equity awards, exercises, sales, cancellations, and forfeitures
  • Manage all aspects of the Employee Stock Purchase Plan including enrollment, contributions, purchases, employee education, and monitoring of IRS limits
  • Manage and oversee proactive and ongoing communication of equity plan provisions to all levels of the organization as part of education initiatives
  • Provide direct support to equity plan participants which includes answering complex questions and preparing and disseminating equity plan communications and educational materials
  • Partner with the company’s legal, HR, payroll, accounting, tax, treasury and finance teams on equity-related processing, compliance, and reporting
  • Manage the relationship with outside service providers, including our stock administration database vendor, transfer agent, and broker service providers.
  • Oversee compliance with statutory reporting and filing requirements in all countries Workiva operates in
  • Support the annual Proxy statement process including preparation and analysis of equity-related data
  • Create and maintain procedure documents for global practices with an eye for continuous improvement in accordance with industry best practices and standards
  • Manage the preclearance process during open trading windows and blackout periods
  • Reconcile plan reserves, transactions, termination dates, tax withholding and reporting
  • Manage mobility data for domestic and international relocations and assist in reviewing mobility calculations
  • Point of contact for month-end, quarter-end, year-end, and ad-hoc equity reporting across the enterprise
What You'll Need
Education
  • Undergraduate Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field.
Experience
  • 4+ years of prior experience in public company stock administration
  • Shareworks by Morgan Stanley experience strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of mobile employee compensation issues strongly preferred (both international and domestic)
  • Experience working in a global public company environment on equity taxation, reporting and compliance strongly preferred
Education
  • B.A./B.S. degree in business, accounting, or finance is required
  • Certified Equity Professional (CEP) Level 2 certification is strongly preferred
Skills
  • High level of proficiency with equity and spreadsheet software
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and handle confidential information
  • Strong quantitative and problem solving skills and a high attention to detail
  • Highly developed audit and compliance skills
  • Ability to communicate with all levels (including executive management and Board of Directors) and explain stock option, restricted stock units, and employee stock purchase plan
  • Knowledge of government regulations as they apply to compensation programs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of global equity best practices and applicable laws

  • Reliable internet access for any period of time working remotely, not in a Workiva office.
How You’ll Be Rewarded:
  • Salary range in the US:
$101,000.00 - $172,000.00
  • A discretionary bonus typically paid annually
  • Restricted Stock Units granted at time of hire
  • 401(k) match and comprehensive employee benefits package
The salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this job in the US. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and other relevant factors.
