As the Senior Sourcing Manager, Recycled Materials, you will be building relationships and managing all the sourcing and purchasing of recycled film and pellet categories for our Fiberon line of business. This is a highly visible role managing two reports and working with the operation teams at two of our plant locations.

The ideal candidate will have a background in sourcing and purchasing recycled materials, managing a team, and building a strategy for the future. You will also have a background in building solid relationships with your suppliers and enjoy the negotiation process.

This role is remote based with travel needed to the plant locations as needed (Mocksville, NC and Meridian, ID) and the salary range is anywhere from a base of $120K-155K plus bonus.

What you will be doing:


  • Manage/Purchase raw materials for composite decking and railing portfolios to include recycled polyethylene film pellet categories with vision and guidance consistent with the company’s values and strategic initiatives.
  • Guide Sourcing team resources - direct and matrixed - to develop and implement Category strategies and deliverables to support business goals.
  • Recruit, develop, and mentor sourcing category team members and be proficient in performance management activities by setting and achieving goals, managing workload, delegating work, and coaching.
  • Create and deploy annual goal-setting activities with suppliers and manage internal cost-down and budget-setting activities.
  • Manage communication with executive and cross-functional teams to support new product development, continuous improvement, and quality improvement while reducing supply chain risk.
  • Provide subject matter expertise for LDPE categories including risks/opportunities, category cost management, and current/potential supplier capabilities.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 6 years’ experience in a global sourcing environment, with at least 3 years managing direct reports or leading cross-functional teams.
  • Proven ability to manage executive-level business relationships with cross functional leaders and suppliers.
  • History of acquiring and developing new suppliers and supply chains to secure capacity to support business growth.
  • Demonstrated knowledge identifying continuous improvement opportunities and total cost analysis for existing and new product categories.
  • Proven negotiation skills and utilization of fact-based negotiation tactics
  • Outstanding organization and project management skills with a high attention to detail under time constraints
