POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for the implementation of software quality assurance processes and procedures for software applications. The Senior Quality Assurance Analyst assists in establishing software quality standards. Problem-solving skills are essential for this position.
LOCATION
This role is approved to by a hybrid role, but the incumbent must be in the Malvern office at least 3 days per week (preferably Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday).
- Employees should remain diligent to remove/minimize safety hazards while at home and connect with leadership if support to remove/minimize safety hazards is needed.
REQUIRED SKILL SETS
- Experience creating detailed and manually executing test scripts in JIRA.
- A minimum of three years of experience with REST API testing using Postman and Swagger.
- Experience with Web, API and Mobile Testing and with automated testing tools.
- A minimum of six years of software testing experience.
- Experience with banking/financial applications.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- Proficiency with latest OS, Microsoft Office products and Defect Tracking Tools.
- Experience with information technology, systems analysis and business applications.
- Experience with QA automation (Web, API and Mobile).
- Experience with Agile Development methodology a plus.
- Familiarity with SQL.
- Familiarity in testing Windows based applications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The type of activities expected to be performed at this level include, but are not limited to:
- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle.
- Participate in the planning, executing, and tracking stages of implementation of software development projects as necessary.
- Provide QA task effort estimates within confidence levels appropriate to the project stage.
- Assist in analyzing requirements to develop a written test plan.
- Develop, maintain, and execute test scripts and scenarios on assigned products to assure product quality from a functional and qualitative perspective.
- Build, maintain, and support test environments.
- Document, track, and verify defects and enhancements.
- Work closely assisting architects, programmers, business analysts, and managers in effectively implementing quality software projects.
- Work closely with application development teams to troubleshoot issues are determine quality solutions.
- Analyze testing results for validity and clarity.
- Provide problem solving regarding QA task issues as well as project and resource challenges.
- Mentor and guide the performance of other QA team members.
- Understand and implement sound project management principles.
- Mentor junior Quality Analysts & provide assistance when needed for a given project.
- Complete tasks within duration and effort commitments.
- Use new skills and strategies to improve day-to-day effectiveness.
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS
- BS/BA required (preferably in business, computer science, finance, or accounting) or equivalent work experience preferred.
- CSQA or CSTE certification is preferred.
