About The Team

It's an amazing time to be joining the product team as we continue to widen our global reach as the largest anime streaming provider. The Product Team is a cornerstone of the culture and the app experience that millions of customers interact with every day. We're responsible for making sure the products we ship provide innovative solutions to our five million+ subscribers/anime fans. We appreciate the value of understanding our users and championing their needs.

About the role:

Crunchyroll is looking for a Senior Product Manager to drive the development, execution and performance of our video-on-demand applications.To deliver the great anime content our fans desire, we need to meet our fans where they're at not only today but in the future. You'll lead a team building out apps supporting various living room touchpoints in ways that meet the expectations of our fans specifically in that modality. You'll work to ideate, launch and measure features that will increase our fans' love for anime both in content and in culture.

About You:

• 5+ years in either product management OR software engineering/development OR project management experience
• Possess experience with building and shipping features and applications across multiple modalities (living room/mobile devices)
• Demonstrates product instincts and the capability to balance technical, user, design, and business needs.
• Proven experience working collaboratively across cross-functional teams.
• Can balance using an analytic, data-driven approach and a qualitative, experience-driven approach to advise decisions.
• Effective working across globally and temporally distributed teams
• Strong written, oral and presentation communication skills.
• Possessing a technical understanding of video streaming is a plus
• Possessing an engineering and/or user experience/design background is a plus

Your responsibilities as Senior Product Manager:

• Development and execution of multiple applications, concurrently, from backlog grooming, sprint planning, QA, store submission and post launch analysis/support
• Attend ceremonies and work closely with design, engineering, and program management
• Understand business OKRs to set priorities and create product roadmaps
• Develop, monitor and drive critical metrics to ensure the health and optimization of your applications
• Lead cross functional projects from concept to execution, working with key stakeholders and senior management, to build requirements, provide status updates and report results.
• Serve as the SME for your platforms on a global scale
• You understand customers deeply and you advocate relentlessly for them; you know how to get to the root of the problem, not settling for what users want but rather discovering and delivering what customers need
• You embrace rather than avoid ambiguity; you will not know all of the answers, but you will find ways to test and iterate to the answers you need
• You know how to collaborate across and understand the needs of engineering, design, and business to effectively prioritize work to improve the output of your team
• You are unintimidated by learning and absorbing large amounts of information, both through mentorship as well as an independent education
