Job Summary and Qualifications

The Product Analyst II will report directly to the Manager Telehealth Systems and help achieve the strategies, vision, and execution efforts related to the service line offerings supported by the Information Technology Group (ITG).

The PAII will coordinate the implementation of the enterprise-wide applications utilized by field personnel. Responsibilities require collaborative engagement with customers in order to understand processes, document requirements, and translate into user stories. The PAII will work closely with internal and third party product development teams to ensure new features are implemented to address identified customer needs.

The PAII will serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for assigned applications by building knowledge of the product components, understanding integrations, establishing processes, and maintaining clear documentation. The candidate will utilize expertise to independently resolve issues and bugs by interacting with support resources and frequently communicating with end users.

The ideal candidate for this position has a Healthcare IT product analysis background with excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities, along with experience in activities listed in General Responsibilities section below.

1) Product Expertise (SME)

a) Functionality - How the system(s) works (including required ancillary systems)

b) Access - How users get access

c) Data - How data enters/exits the system, failure points, and monitoring mechanisms

2) Product Analysis Skills

a) Problem solving - Ability to solve problems in a complex and highly matrixed environment

b) Solutioning - Ability to independently research and suggest ideas that improve operational/business functions

c) Requirements - Elicit business requirements through meetings and interviews

d) Enhancement Requests - Handles intake of enhancement requests and assesses for feasibility

e) Prioritization - Works with business to prioritize enhancements based on value and effort

f) Demos - Conducts demos for potential customers and other stakeholders

g) Implementations - Completes deliverables and collaborates with key stakeholders to prepare for implementations

1) Product Development (Enhancements)

a) Meetings/Ceremonies - Prepare for and actively participate in daily Scrum Sessions, weekly Grooming Sessions, and/or other regular meetings with internal or third-party teams

b) Testing - Tests enhancements (If Testing resource allocated, she/he creates tickets for what is found during normal testing process)

c) Story Writing - Analyst creates user stories for application development (enhancements)

d) Deployments - Facilitate Production Deployments with Dev Team

e) Changes - Coordinate Change approval for Deployments (ServiceCentral)

f) Coordination - Coordinate efforts with other teams as needed (Clinical Data Management/QACOE/BACOE/PMCOE/etc.)

g) Collaboration - Set up and/or participate in working sessions with internal and/or third-party teams

h) Delivery - Track status/schedule on Enhancement Delivery

2) Product Support (Bugs & Issues)

a) Primary Contact - Acts as primary point of contact and serves as liaison with internal and/or third-party teams

b) Customer Service - Acts with empathy and without hesitation to provide the highest level of service to customers/end users

c) Incident Monitoring - Manages incidents thru ServiceCentral, including daily monitoring and f/u of tickets from field

d) Resolution - Coordinates resolution activity across multiple partners (Development/Engineering/Data teams/etc.) and/or third-party teams

e) Bugs - Analyst creates development tickets for break/fix including steps to reproduce or suggestions for capture

3) Product Documentation

a) Information Systems Account Management (ISAM)

b) Support Matrix

c) Knowledge base articles (i.e. triage, troubleshooting)

d) Atlas Connect site for the application

e) Presentations as needed (i.e. Architecture Review Committee, Security Review Committee)

f) Training materials/user guides (unless other resources are budgeted)

g) Release Notes

h) Functional Requirements

i) Non-Functional Requirements

j) Flows and diagrams (i.e. Visios for workflow, data flow)

k) Configuration specifications

4) Communication

a) Stakeholders - Ability to build relationships and communicate to a wide range of stakeholders with significant variance in technical knowledge

b) Developers - Developer (DEV) goes to Analyst with questions

c) Quality Assurance - Testing (QA) goes to Analyst with questions

d) Small Audiences - Face to face reviews/presentations to small audiences (up to ten people)

e) Large Audiences - WebEx reviews/presentations to large audiences (up to 200 people)

f) Flash Messages - Draft and send Flash Messages – downtime and upgrade notices to field

  • Knowledge of HCA ITG processes & tools (Change Management/ARB/TFS/Jira/SharePoint/Planview) preferred
  • Creative Excel experience used to solve problems or identify data patterns
  • Basic SQL querying knowledge preferred
  • Agile or scrum experience preferred
  • TFS or Jira experience preferred
  • Flow diagramming experience preferred (i.e. Visio)
  • UI/UX mockup tools experience preferred
  • Meditech experience preferred; clinical experience or knowledge as substitute
  • User training and documentation experience preferred


PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Occasional after-hours and weekend work required for support/deployments
  • Up to 10% travel to facilities and/or division offices
  • Occasional travel to Corporate offices (SkyPark, Buildings I-IV, etc.)
