SENIOR NETWORK ENGINEER

Information Technology Department- Deadline Extended -

This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining functional and secure City of Portland networks. An employee in this position will also teach IT Service Desk staff to troubleshoot or information-gather before escalating trouble tickets to this position and will intervene when trouble tickets are escalated. In this role, they should have excellent problem-solving skills and proven experience and knowledge of network architecture, security and maintenance principles.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field. Commensurate experience may be considered.

Necessary Special Requirement: Valid Class C driver’s license in good standing. Offers of employment are contingent upon completion of a satisfactory criminal background check.

Non-Union position – Grade C44 - Salary Range: $73,097 to $79,879 annually.
