HART Technologies, Inc. is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer, to support program planning and scheduling for our engineering services support team in Dahlgren, VA. Candidates who are highly motivated, process-oriented, and capable of learning new software tools are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

• Provide subject matter expertise on tactical weapon system design, ballistics, heat transfer, and test setup.
• Provide engineering leadership and expertise to other design engineers and analysts.
• Execute system engineering best practices for requirements definition & decomposition, design and implementation of customer & end-user requirements.
• Documentation of system/subsystem design decisions and configurations verifying and validating requirements during the planning, coordinating, executing, and test and evaluation strategies as well as refinement of requirements as necessary.
• Perform risk analysis and tracking.
• Develop verification methods for testing requirements.
• Assess operational performance criteria and provide input for improving performance.

Required:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• At least Eight (8) years of professional technical experience providing Mechanical Engineering Support.
• US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance.

Preferred:

• At least Six (6) years of experience in the areas of either weapons manned or unmanned, robotic, or weapon control system concept definition, design, integration, and engineering.
• Knowledge of Weapon Systems and Command & Control Systems.
• Knowledge of DOD and NATO standards and certification processes.
• Current DoD Security Clearance.
