Senior Manager/SME Data Center and Cloud Migration
Summary:
Delaware Nation Industries (DNI) is a prime contractor providing IT Operations and Support services within a Federal Agency. We are currently interviewing for a Senior Manager/Subject Matter Expert for Data Center and Cloud Migration to oversee and lead a highly visible and key enterprise initiative.
The successful candidate will have the experience and skills necessary to lead the initiative working with government customers and contractor staff. As a Subject Matter Expert, they will provide consultation, guidance, and direction for a successful outcome benefitting the agency and our technical teams.
Data Center Responsibilities:
· Provide technical expertise, guidance, and direction for the migration from government facilities into secure contractor owned data centers.
· Serve as the primary technical expert on all matters related to the design, implementation, and maintenance of data center infrastructure.
· Develop and implement data center standards and best practices, ensuring that they align with industry trends and emerging technologies.
· Provide guidance to IT teams and stakeholders on data center-related issues, including capacity planning, performance optimization, and disaster recovery.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve data center-related issues and implement solutions to improve efficiency, reliability, and security.
· Develop and maintain documentation for data center infrastructure, including network diagrams, hardware configurations, and standard operating procedures.
· Provide technical guidance and training to data center staff, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively manage data center operations.
· Monitor and analyze data center performance metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
· Maintain awareness of emerging technologies and industry trends related to data center infrastructure and make recommendations to management regarding their potential impact on the organization.
Cloud Migration Responsibilities:
· Provide enterprise architecture designs and consulting for migrating into DoD classified Cloud Hosting Providers. Analyze existing IT infrastructure and applications to identify candidates for migration to the cloud.
· Develop a cloud migration strategy that outlines the steps, risks, and timelines involved in migrating applications to the cloud.
· Work with cross-functional teams to ensure that cloud migration plans are aligned with business and IT objectives, and that potential risks and issues are identified and mitigated.
· Develop and execute migration plans, including provisioning cloud resources, migrating data, and testing applications to ensure that they operate as expected in the cloud environment.
· Develop and maintain documentation related to cloud migration processes and procedures.
· Ensure that migrated applications are properly configured for security, performance, and scalability in the cloud environment.
· Monitor cloud resources and performance to ensure that applications are operating optimally, and to identify potential issues or areas for improvement.
Qualifications:
· 10+ years of progressive IT architecture and Data Center planning experience with at least 3 years working with AWS or Microsoft Azure Cloud technologies.
· Experience working with Classified Networks and Impact Level 6 (IL6) classified cloud.
· Certification in at least two relevant technologies –
1. Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)
2. Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
3. Microsoft Certified : DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-104)
4. AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional
5. RedHat Certified System Administrator
6. VMware VCP
· DoD 8570 IAT Level III certification
· Ability to maintain a Top-Secret Clearance.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $175,000.00 - $185,000.00 per year
