The Senior Manager of Innovation is responsible for shaping and driving the new product innovation pipeline for key Campbell Snacks brands.
This is an exciting role that will synthesize category data and consumer research into fresh meaningful insights that lead to incremental business building ideas. These insights will be merged with product and packaging technologies to deliver viable platforms for development. Lastly, this individual should leverage existing best practices to deliver innovation AND search out new ways of delivering innovation to market with agility and a challenger mindset.
Leadership strengths must include inspiring trust and driving organizational alignment with cross functional resources and management. The brand manager is expected to demonstrate strategic creative thinking, be able to thrive in the ambiguity of innovation while inspiring teams to deliver results through commercialization with an overall optimistic and "can do" attitude.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Identify a pipeline of fresh business building ideas that drive incremental growth for our portfolio. This includes product and packaging in current and future contiguous categories.
- Lead cross functional teams through commercialization of existing breakthrough innovation projects and future validated ideas to deliver commercially and financially viable platforms.

- Drive "strategic creativity" to uncover and stretch the potential of existing brand icons. This will require breaking paradigms and uncovering latent potential that connects consumer needs with key drivers of brand equity. Fresh exciting concept ideas must be identified and validated to result in a robust pipeline for growth. This will be accomplished by sharp strategic thinking, a curious interest in evolving consumer needs, and an ability to "connect the dots" from multiple sources of consumer research and trends.
- Build ideas based on a foundation of product and packaging commercialization viability that will deliver strong financial performance – this will require strong business model savvy, a general management aptitude, and strong partnerships with cross functional resources to deliver results.
- Provide strong leadership to create direction and inspire greatness with cross functional teams. A "can do" attitude with a strong drive for results will be necessary to overcome obstacles and motivate the team through project ebbs and flows.

- Responsible for the development, implementation, and delivery of the short- and long-term segment innovation strategy and plans in support of the brand strategies and objectives.
- Must have a proven track record of driving profitable growth from product innovation: concept to commercialization.
- Exceptional leadership – an ability to take accountability, inspire trust, foster collaboration, and drive organizational alignment.
- Must have a high level of curiosity about the marketplace, competitors, consumers, and product/ingredients.
- Must be able to easily maneuver between high-level strategic thinking, business / financial / operational acumen, and detail orientation.
- Must have a proven track record leading teams and influencing senior leaders
- Food experience is preferred
- Ability to excel in ambiguity
Job Specifications:
- Minimum education required: Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA strongly preferred
- years of relevant experience: 7+ years, preferably in Food &/or CPG
- Experience managing a complex portfolio across multiple brands/product groups, varied strategic challenges, consumer targets, operational models, etc.
- Category, consumer, and shopper knowledge preferred
Compensation and Benefits:
The base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between
$105,000.00 - $194,400.00
Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
