We are looking for a full-time Senior Maintenance Technician in the Auburndale area.

Salary: $24.00 - $26.00/hr

Schedule: Mon-Fri 5:00am-1:30pm

Job description:

Maintenance and repair of client facilities and equipment as assigned. This position shall be responsible for performing skilled and more complex work. (For example, inspect, calibrate, repair, maintain, rebuild, and install all types of equipment, apparatuses, and other systems). The Senior Maintenance Technician shall perform work in a manner that promotes safety for themselves and ensures progress towards a goal of eliminating recordable injuries. You will perform maintenance tasks of great variety such as painting, HVAC installations, landscaping etc. A Maintenance Technician is a thorough professional with a practical mind and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously and responsibly by observing all health and safety guidelines. The goal is to maintain the buildings and common areas in the best possible condition.

Responsibilities:

  • Senior Maintenance Technician shall act in conjunction with supervision or individually as directed by supervision and shall assist and/or direct the training of other employees in the correct operation procedures necessary to fully satisfy the classification duties of a like technician, and in all lower classifications or other duties with which the employee is familiar. Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards
  • Perform duties that are incidental to the job in either lower or higher classifications within his/her capabilities and for the purpose of training in the requirements of higher classifications as needed.
  • Perform complex work in connection with the installation, inspection, calibration, diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of structural, mechanical, electrical, electronic and environmental compliance systems, as directed.
  • Repair and assist in repairing and maintaining HVAC systems.
  • Check schematics, prints and drawings to ensure that equipment is properly connected, will function in the required manner and will conform to company standards.
  • Record on all prints and sketches any changes or additional work necessitated by conditions in the field.
  • Lead, direct and train other employees assigned to work with him/her to obtain satisfactory work results
  • Makes Safety the first consideration above all other responsibilities. Follows safety rules and uses sound judgment for the protection of him/herself, co-workers, client personnel, general public and property. Participates in safety training and attends safety meetings as scheduled by supervisor. Is also responsible for reporting unsafe conditions or practices and STOP WORK until these issues are corrected
  • Supervise Maintenance Techs, trainees and assistants. Must ensure strict compliance of personnel in his charge are properly wearing PPE and comply with all site requirements

Skills:

  • Sufficient experience and knowledge in work relating to operations, inspection, calibration and repair of HVAC, lighting, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and structural systems so that he/she has developed a working knowledge of the operation and maintenance of such systems
  • An additional 36 months of experience as a maintenance technician or equivalent and successful completion of all training and testing as required in this classification.
  • Sufficient experience and knowledge in work relating to operations, inspection, calibration and repair of HVAC, lighting, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and structural systems so that he/she has developed a working knowledge of the operation and maintenance of such systems.
  • Demonstrated an aptitude and working knowledge for reading, interpreting, and working from complex structural, mechanical, and electrical drawings and specifications.
  • Possess knowledge of standard electrical print symbols and the ability to read and understand moderately complex electrical prints
  • Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime
  • High school diploma or a general education degree (G.E.D.) preferred. Related trade school certification or a minimum of three (3) years of related experience within the last five (5).
  • Certifications in HVAC and Refrigerant Handling and Recovery
