JOB FUNCTION / SUMMARY:
Senior Investor Relations Analyst is primarily responsible for developing and executing the Investor Relations strategy, operating plans, budget, and program in collaboration with the Manager, Investor Relations. This position will work with multiple lines of business to produce reports and presentations. This position will also provide dotted-line training, mentoring, and supervision of the Investor Relations Analyst position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Creates materials related to the quarterly earnings call, including earnings press releases, scripts, Q&A, investor presentation, fact sheet, post-event reporting, consensus model, and transcript reviews, as well as other ad hoc analytical requests/logistical support.
- Supports the CFO in preparation of monthly/quarterly Board of Director reports and other ad-hoc reporting requirements.
- Prepare, analyze and/or assemble various Investor Relations reports for management and the Board as needed.
- Provide training, mentoring, proofing and supervision of more junior team members. Delegate to others to provide stretch opportunities and coaching to help deliver results.
- Manage projects to ensure high-quality work, total client satisfaction, strong internal coordination, adherence to budgets and schedules, etc.
- Operate with a high degree of trust, accountability, and confidentiality when dealing with sensitive company matters.
- Monitor and summarize competitor/peer financial results and other important news items and provide summaries to management.
- Maintain and monitor department budget.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Dotted-line supervision and training of Investor Relations Analyst position.
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE:
- Bachelor's degree (Business, Finance, Economics or Accounting) required.
- 5 years of relevant experience in investor relations, finance, marketing, planning and development, or corporate communication positions for a publicly traded company required.
- General experience with or knowledge of statutory and regulatory requirements relating to matters of Investor Relations, corporate governance, or NASDAQ listing standards preferred.
- Banking experience and/or accounting background a plus.
- Communication experience and/or marketing background a plus.
- Meticulous attention to detail, including excellent proofreading skills.
- Desire to own and execute responsibilities independently with a high level of professionalism.
- Have a strong work ethic and willingness to do what it takes to get the job done.
- Enjoy managing multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Have sharp problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills.
ESSENTIAL MENTAL & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to travel if required to perform the essential job functions.
- Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines.
- Ability to operate related equipment to perform the essential job functions.
- Ability to read and interpret a document if required to perform the essential job functions.
- Ability to lift/move/carry approximately 10 pounds if required to perform the essential job functions. If the employee is unable to lift/move/carry this weight and can be accommodated without causing the department/division an “undue hardship” then the employee must be accommodated; hence omitting lifting/moving/carrying as a physical requirement.
