K&L Media, Inc. is seeking a full-time graphic artist. K&L Media is a premier lifestyle media company covering Whatcom, Skagit, and the San Juan Islands, and we are looking for someone with a contemporary eye that will continue to enhance and build on what we create. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented self starter who can work well with others and multitask. Applicants must be quick yet accurate and proficient in InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) design of magazines, custom publications, inserts, ad design, marketing materials, and various projects as requested. Applicants must also be comfortable recruiting design interns and managing them for the duration of their term.

We are a fun, creative group and work hard. The ideal applicant must be a team player who is flexible and open to design changes. They must also have a strong work ethic in and out of the office, be able to put in extra time on deadline weeks as needed, and be willing to jump in and work across departments when requested.

Qualifications: 4+ years experience with InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, production/print, and Adobe Bridge. Photography experience is not a requirement but a huge plus.

Hours are Monday-Friday 9am-5pm. Must be able to come to office Tuesday and Friday, remote the rest of the days. This may change to 3 days a week in the office. Please respond with cover letter, resume, and portfolio.
