The Opportunity
The Work Itself
- Develop long-term financial and balance projections for equity exposures
- Assist in deal level analysis for new CRA equity exposures
- Support monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc executive reporting routines, including P&L, BS, KPIs, variance analysis, etc.
- Draft market perspective commentary reporting on VC and PE performance and outlook
- Assist in the development of enhanced strategic evaluation and reporting processes – risk/benefit analysis, risk mitigation strategies, competitive analysis, regulatory implications, etc.
- Coordinate with IRM to enhance risk evaluation of equity exposures
- Provide FP&A support to the CRA team, including budgeting and expense/headcount forecasting, variance analysis, etc.
- Assist in capital allocation analysis and strategy for equity investments
- Work collaboratively with numerous internal partners to ensure enterprise objectives are met
- Provide finance support for the Ally Charitable Foundation and other corporate giving investments
The Skills You Bring
- BS/BBA degree in Finance or related field required
- 3+ years previous work experience in Finance or related field required
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills required
- Proven track record of driving for results with minimal ongoing direction
- Comfortable with quantitative analysis and turning data into actionable recommendations
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills and demonstrated intellectual curiosity
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong work ethic with an ownership and goal-oriented mentality
- Ability to support multiple assignments and stakeholders, and prioritize workload, to meet deadlines
