The Senior Financial Analyst – Corporate Investment Analysis will support a variety of finance-related analytical activities primarily related to the non-insurance equity portfolio at Ally. Specifically, the analyst will be tasked with supporting forecasting, modeling, reporting and strategic evaluation of equity exposures. This role will include significant collaboration with various teams across the company that maintain equity exposures, including CRA, Ally Ventures and Corporate Finance. In addition, the analyst will work closely with the capital planning team to analyze capital allocated to equity investments. This role will also provide finance support for the CRA function and the Ally Charitable Foundation.

• Develop long-term financial and balance projections for equity exposures
• Assist in deal level analysis for new CRA equity exposures
• Support monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc executive reporting routines, including P&L, BS, KPIs, variance analysis, etc.
• Draft market perspective commentary reporting on VC and PE performance and outlook
• Assist in the development of enhanced strategic evaluation and reporting processes – risk/benefit analysis, risk mitigation strategies, competitive analysis, regulatory implications, etc.
• Coordinate with IRM to enhance risk evaluation of equity exposures
• Provide FP&A support to the CRA team, including budgeting and expense/headcount forecasting, variance analysis, etc.
• Assist in capital allocation analysis and strategy for equity investments
• Work collaboratively with numerous internal partners to ensure enterprise objectives are met
• Provide finance support for the Ally Charitable Foundation and other corporate giving investments

• BS/BBA degree in Finance or related field required
• 3+ years previous work experience in Finance or related field required
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills required
• Proven track record of driving for results with minimal ongoing direction
• Comfortable with quantitative analysis and turning data into actionable recommendations
• Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills and demonstrated intellectual curiosity
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong work ethic with an ownership and goal-oriented mentality
• Ability to support multiple assignments and stakeholders, and prioritize workload, to meet deadlines
