Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Sr. Director of Finance, the Sr. Financial Analyst will provide financial and analytical support to local market leadership team to help improve business performance and drive improved financial and clinical outcomes. The ideal candidate will bring a background in supporting operational reporting needs, budgeting & forecasting, project ownership, understanding metrics, report development, analytical thinking, teamwork and preferred experience with a health plan or medical group in a finance/analytics/reporting capacity.
Essential Job Functions:
- Supports the development of annual operating budget and quarterly forecasts of the local market
- Supports market leadership through timely reporting of organizational performance, growth, and cost-of-care management.
- Performs analysis on an ad hoc basis to support market’s strategic and operational initiatives. Identifies trends/patterns, share analytics insights, and develops solutions/recommendations to improve outcomes.
- Leverages and embraces technology to streamline financial reporting & analyses
- Documents analyses and explains the methods used to create items in reports created.
- Develops and catalogs standard management reports
- Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
1. Minimum Experience
- Minimum 4 years related work experience, preferably in a health plan or medical group
- Background in financial planning/forecasting or medical analytic support
- Experience working directly with large data sets and ability to collaborate effectively with operational and clinical leadership
2. Education/Licensure:
- Bachelor’s degree (minimum) or Master’s degree (preferred) in finance, business administration or health care administration
