Reporting to the Chief of Children's Services, the Senior Director of Children's Mental Health Services will be a critical, collaborating member of the children's services leadership team. The Senior Director will build, develop, and lead a skilled team in the creation of a behavior and mental health clinic. This position will also oversee a dynamic psychology team committed to the successful implementation of behavioral and mental health treatment within a school and clinic setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervision of Pre and Post-Doctoral Psychology Students and Mental Health Clinicians: provide individual and small group supervision for the team of mental health professionals.
  • Ensure opportunities for development in necessary evidenced based treatments.
  • Support the implementation of systems to ensure quality mental health and behavioral services.

Lead Service Initiatives:

  • Lead the team in the development and startup of a behavioral and mental health clinic in Stamford, CT.
  • Assume all responsibilities in the day to day operation of the behavioral and mental health clinic.
  • Work collaboratively with other organizations to develop programming resulting in an APA approved internship consortium. Oversee all aspects of Aspire's APA internship site once approved.
  • In collaboration with related service professionals, develop a systems level approach to mental health within our private approved special education school.

Requirements:

  • Holds a PhD and CT license in school psychology/clinical psychology
  • BCBA preferred
  • Experience in the initiation and follow through of large scale projects
  • Expertise in evidenced based practices including CBT, ACT, DBT and trauma focused treatments
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Skilled at working collaboratively on an interdisciplinary team
  • Must have a valid driver's license and have satisfactory background checks

Salary: $120,000 + per year
