Job Description Summary

As Senior Director– IT Service Management (ITSM) Platforms in the newly created Workforce Digital Experience (WDx) organization, you will have a unique opportunity to participate in GE Healthcare’s IT transformation journey.

This role isn’t for the faint-hearted ... you’ll disrupt, re-imagine and deploy global ITSM technology solutions that enable design, deployment, operation of flexible, cost justified and best in class IT services targeted at a variety of stakeholder personas dispersed in the hybrid digital workplace of the future.

Your platform forms the foundation for IT enablement of one of the largest spin offs in the history of the med-tech industry. In collaboration with several other process/technology/employee experience domain experts, vendors and business partners you will be responsible to build and maintain the next generation GE Healthcare Servicenow technology based ITSM solution. Frictionless user experience, simplification, automation, and integration will be key measures of your success.

Job Description

Responsibilities

As an integral part of the VP- WDx ITSM leadership staff, in this role you will:

  • Have overall accountability for defining GE Healthcare’s contemporary ITSM platform strategy, the technologies that constitute it (primarily Servicenow) with an exaggerated emphasis on automation

  • Develop positive relationships with key stakeholders and vendors.

  • Executing the programs to achieve the targeted outcomes of the strategy on quality/time/budget. You will define and own overall execution of the team structure, resources, work plans, timelines and strive to alleviate technical-issues and operational risks

  • Build the ITSM organization to design, build and sustain the platform. Lead a technical team of project and operations resources to deliver on your priorities while providing thought and organizational leadership.

  • Work with technical and functional owners of related technology spaces, regional operations leaders, subject matter experts, and vendors to define creative solutions while maintaining employee experience , cybersecurity and financial commitments

  • Build deep understanding of the ITSM domain while directing technical strategy planning, product management requirements gathering, design, and technology quality reviews

  • Create standards and operational rigor around the product and operations management

  • Enforce process governance and attention to data quality

  • Develop positive vendor relationships – product and support

  • Leverage Lean principles to drive simplification plans with an understanding of employee, technical & operations implications

  • Represent WDx and ITSM technology domain in a wide variety of IT & Non IT forums

  • Maintain strong external network of ITSM experts to bring new ideas and solutions to GE Healthcare

Qualifications

  • Master's degree with 8 years of relevant experience OR Bachelor's degree with 10 years OR Associates with 12 years OR HS Diploma with 15 years of relevant work experience

Desired Characteristics

  • Depth experience and understanding of digital workplace technology and services

  • Experience and advanced certifications in ITIL / ITSM process framework

  • Adopt a holistic technology systems perspective.

  • Challenges program/product planning assumptions on technical bases

  • Hands-on operations management experience

The salary range for this position is 160,000.00 - 240,000.00 USD Annual. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus. Available benefits include health, welfare, retirement, and paid leave.

While GE HealthCare does not currently require U.S. employees to be vaccinated against COVID-19, some GE HealthCare customers have vaccination mandates that may apply to certain GE HealthCare employees.
