Job description
The Senior Collector’s main purpose is to collect past due contract payments & fees through normal collection efforts as defined by procedures, while maintaining respectful & professional communications.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Maintain a working knowledge of the types of financing contracts used: loans, leases, purchase orders.
· Attempt to contact all assigned contracts daily; priority contracts, as defined by management must be worked daily.
· Send letters/emails/texts as required by procedures.
· Escalate through collection procedures timely.
· Negotiate past due fees, within approval authority guidelines.
· Responsible for projecting delinquency of assigned contracts each month.
· Input payments received over the phone into the system for processing.
· Determine when a contract is uncollectable and recommend transfer to Recovery/Legal.
· Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university, or one to three years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Computer skills required: (Contract Management Systems; Microsoft Office).
· Other skills required:
o Effective communicator, both verbally and written
o Well organized
o Self-motivated
o Good listening skills
o Excellent telephone etiquette

Pay: $42,000.00 - $46,000.00 per year
