Job Overview:
The Joseph J. Peter’s Institute, a nationally recognized provider serving children, adolescents and adult survivor of trauma as well as perpetrators of sexual abuse, seeks a Senior Clinician Supervisor in Survivor Services. The senior clinician supervisor maintains a small caseload providing clinical services to participants who have experienced trauma, provides clinical and administrative supervision to staff and students, and works on program development to support and improve the financial health of the agency. This position works intensively with trauma and training in evidence-based practices specific to trauma in a specialized agency that is a vital part of the social services system in Philadelphia. The senior clinician supervisor position reports to the Director of Survivor and Community Based Services.

Clinical Responsibilities:
- Maintain the highest quality clinical services to all clients of JJPI.
- Develop and maintain clinical utilization at 60% or as assigned by the Deputy Executive Director.
- Attend clinical meetings and scheduled supervision.
- Provides administrative and clinical supervision to FT clinicians.
- Provide direct clinical supervision/consultation to students/interns
- Provide clinical supervision/consultation to contracted fee-for-service clinicians
- Provide supervisors with audio or videotaped samples of sessions as required.
- Lead a weekly consultation group for Survivor Services’ clinicians
- Maintain clinical records in accordance with agency, managed care, and licensing requirements.
- Seek out appropriate professional training/certifications, including training in EBPs (e.g. PE, DBT, TF-CBT, TARGET, CPT, priCARE, etc.).
- Assist in developing training programs for other staff.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with other agencies.
- Adhere to all organizational procedures regarding clinical documentation, including
- Clinicians will complete Initial Resiliency Plan Review within the first two visits of client contact.
- Complete updated resiliency plans every 6 months or as clinically indicated.
- Complete progress notes within 24 hours of individual session with client and 72 hours for group progress notes
- Follow up appropriately with clients who have missed a session.
- Complete discharge summary within 48 hours of termination date.
- Complete and provide statistical reports (case management and clinical hours) at the end of each week/pay period.
- Supervise Survivor Services clinic one evening/night per week
- After hours on-call in accordance with supervisor coverage rotation
Administrative Responsibilities:
- Supervises clinicians and students performing clinical services
- Assist in developing training programs for other staff.
- Assure the timely and accurate submission of all paperwork by self and supervisees.
ORGANIZATIONAL Responsibilities:
- Work effectively with other staff and contribute to the development of a team approach to treatment.
- Provide input into new programs and work to implement more effective methods of delivering services.
- Understand and communicate with other programs within the agency and work to foster a collaborative team approach across all programs.
- To support and take an active role in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion projects/movement at JJPI
FINANCIAL Responsibilities:
- Understand the impact of the caseload requirements on the financial performance of the agency.
- Understand the payment source of each client.
- Complete all forms required for submission of bills for services in a timely manner.
- Work with other staff to develop new treatment programs to promote the financial performance of the agency.
Marketing:
- Promote the agency in interactions with other agencies and professionals.
- Participate in market planning for the agency as required.
Education Requirement:
- A Master’s or Doctoral Degree in a field related to clinical work.
- License in Psychology or Social Work (LCSW) or Counseling Psychology (LPC) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy (LMFT) required.
- A Minimum of 5 years’ experience providing trauma treatment.
- A minimum of 2 years providing supervision/training/consultation to clinicians/students
- Training in evidence-based practice a must.
Salary:
- Commensurate with experience and education
- Pay Grade -21
