Ohio State University Physicians, Inc. is the medical group managing The Ohio State Wexner Medical Center’s outpatient physician clinics. Due to our continued growth to provide health care to the Columbus area we are currently expanding our leadership team and seeking a Senior Clinic Manager.


As a Senior Clinic Manager at OSU Physicians, you will have an opportunity to lead operations, positively impact patient care and build your clinical team with the support of senior leaders.

About our Clinic Managers:

Our managers are responsible for developing, implementing and maintain the organizational structure and operations system of their clinic to meet OSUP’s mission of excellent patient care.

    Managers select and develop their teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and appreciation. Leaders participate in staffing development plans ensuring our most valuable resources, our teams, are strategically placed in clinics to support operations. Managers gain an understanding of staff responsibilities and are responsible for team training, performance management and the cultivation of an attitude of teamwork across the clinic. Managers support their employees through coaching and training through the utilization of direct and open communication.
    Managers oversee their own clinic’s operating expenses to ensure they are managing to budget, while ensuring timely and resource-efficient responses to clinic needs. This role has an opportunity to guide the vision of the clinic through the development and implementation of strategic operational planning. Managers continuously identify areas of growth and development and implement innovative solutions. Managers are also responsible for compliance with necessary regulatory requirements to ensure a safe and effective operation of clinic at all times.
    Managers are responsible for driving patient satisfaction and communicating with patients to resolve questions and concerns. They act as a liaison with the community and maintain relationships with all levels of the organization.

New leaders experience a holistic on-boarding process before being assigned a clinic location. Opportunities are available for candidates without prior leadership experience.


    Qualified candidates will have Bachelor degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    Future leaders should have superior interpersonal, organizational and communication skills. Strong customer service skills and high emotional intelligence are preferred.
    Candidates should demonstrate a high level of professional integrity and interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and be eager to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
    Proficiency in Microsoft products required.
    Prior experience with medical office operations, guidelines regarding patient confidentiality issues and regulatory requirements, and knowledge regarding the clinical operations and needs of a medical facility is preferred.
