The Senior Business Process Improvement Manager provides process leadership, counsel and oversight to multi-functional, technical, organizational, and cultural change projects resulting in business process improvements and functional success. Advises business groups by providing strategic and tactical insight to identify and address business issues and opportunities. Responsible for leading and delivering process efficiency and effectiveness, and building capabilities throughout the Finance organization.

The ideal candidatewill have experience supporting in a back-office setting.

This role can be hybridwith the requirement to be in our North Olmsted, OH office on Wednesdays.

Responsibilities


  • Lead the development and implementation of continuous process improvement practices and Lean Six Sigma principles for Finance.
  • Develop and implement business process improvement methodologies including process improvement prioritization, value stream mapping and change management.
  • Drive and lead a Center of Excellence approach for process improvement in Finance.
  • Influence and advise Finance leaders, team members and customers on process improvement strategies and opportunities for increased efficiencies.
  • Develop process improvement opportunities, alternatives, and recommend courses of action.
  • Partner with and develop site and regional experts to endorse a continual culture of change and process excellence.
  • Provide counsel and strategies to the Director of Global Business Services to achieve organizational, cultural, efficiency, and effectiveness goals.
  • Brings expertise or identifies subject matter experts in support of multi-functional efforts to identify, interpret and produce recommendations based on global organizational needs.
  • Lead the identification and investigation of process inefficiencies and deploy opportunities for productivity improvement.
  • Possess a solid understanding of Finance processes (Payables, Receivables, General Accounting) and how to utilize organizational design, process improvement, and technology to improve effectiveness and efficiencies.
  • Subject matter expert and liaison partner between functional Finance, Finance IT, and other functional organizations.
  • Facilitate the development of Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s); measure and analyze baseline performance and post optimization.
  • Develop a solid understanding of the business processes and key terms and business functions to actively engage, influence and advise Finance and technical team members.
  • Lead the continuous improvement of business processes for Finance through regular benchmarking with outside organizations to keep current with best practices and approaches.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems or related discipline is required.
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in continuous improvement/process development is required, including experience leading teams in the development of process design in a Finance function.
  • Demonstrated process improvement experience, Six Sigma certification is preferred.
  • Requires knowledge of SAP Finance and Controlling (FICO), and end user training
    • SAP ERP (version ECC 6.0), SAP S/4HANA
    • Blackline Cloud Application
  • Prior experience working in a Shared Services or Global Business Services organization is preferred.
  • Proven strategic planning, analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as, collaboratively across all levels of the organization, and build relations with internal teams.
  • Ability to think on a global basis in terms of organizational and process standardization.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize work and complete assignments accurately, either independently or as part of a team, under pressure of competing deadlines and with frequent interruptions,
  • Project management skills with a results orientation.
  • Ability to improve existing processes or provide new value to business areas through continuous improvement tools.
