The Business Intelligence Developer and Analyst will be a strategic resource on the Business Intelligence team at Pace. We are looking for a senior-level BI developer who is versatile and creative, and who can be an integral part of our team that will build analytics that support business decisions. This role combines business and data analysis with development skills and requires excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills along with strong business acumen. We will consider remote candidates for this position.

Responsibilities:

• Leads BI system management including code management, environment management and deployment processes.
• Collaborates with others to gather, define, and document business needs and requirements and translates into technical requirements.
• Creates data-related requirements and stories including transformation, presentation, and usage requirements.
• Designs data models and structures regarding business intelligence that can be leveraged by BI tools.
• Validates data, information, and overall solution by testing and gathering feedback.
• Develops dashboards, reports, and other mechanisms to present data in various ways to best communicate business information and support business decision making and performance monitoring.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, science, finance, or a closely related field; AND six (6) years of information technology experience with three (3) years as a BI developer; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Ability to work on projects using either Agile or Waterfall SDLCs.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills. Is comfortable and interacts well with anyone from business executives to IT infrastructure resources. Understands audiences and how to adjust to effectively communicate with them.
• Adept at discovering and understanding the business’s data, its meaning and the processes & tools that create it.
• In-depth knowledge of and experience with BI technologies (e.g., Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Oracle BI).
• In-depth knowledge of and experience with SQL queries and reporting tools (e.g., SSRS, Crystal Reports).
• Background in data warehouse design (e.g., dimensional modeling) and data mining.
• Familiarity with database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP) systems and ETL tools.
• Demonstrated strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to envision strategic concepts yet has strong attention to detail.
• Proven abilities to be innovative, creative and think beyond specific requests.
• Ability to thrive within in a team yet lead and influence as appropriate.
