Role Summary

The Senior Application Support Technician will assist the business with solving its application and system issues. This position will have a deep understanding of how the systems work and perform troubleshooting, responding to assistance requests and handling technical issues. This position will take ownership of the investigation, diagnoses, and resolution of internal and external client’s technical and customer service-related questions. This position will be a product expert and understand the client’s needs in depth and act as a liaison between the client, support, and configuration/implementation team. All activities will be performed in support of the strategy, vision and values of JE Dunn.

Key Role Responsibilities - Core

SENIOR APPLICATION SUPPORT TECHNICIAN – CORE

  • Responsible for providing support for Microsoft Services (OneDrive, Planner, Bookings, Stream, internal/external user login issues, and MFA issues).
  • Intermediate level administration and support for SharePoint Online such as restoring deleted content, curating search content, permission management, and coding/automation of site templates.
  • Creates, maintains, and supports cloud automation flows and low/no code apps and cloud functions.
  • Provides support and enablement to business super users to create, maintain, and support their own cloud automation flows and log/no code apps.
  • Provides support and troubleshooting assistance for internally developed custom applications.
  • Ensures excellent customer service through the application of customer service skills, business, and technical knowledge to triage, diagnose, troubleshoot, and escalate or resolve customer application issues.
  • Investigates user problems and needs, identifies their source, performs troubleshooting.
  • Identifies opportunities for process improvement and contributes departmental initiatives.

  • Ability to perform work accurately and completely, and in a timely manner
  • Communication skills, verbal and written
  • Ability to work in SharePoint Online
  • Ability to work in Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate)
  • Ability to work in an enterprise authentication environment
  • Ability to work with Microsoft Office 365 Products and Services – Intermediate
  • Ability to work in an environment where custom applications are developed
  • Knowledge of PowerShell scripting and a desire to learn
  • Knowledge of Azure Cloud Services
  • Knowledge of object-oriented programming a plus
  • Knowledge of git version control a plus
  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate within a team, internally and externally

Education

  • Associate’s degree in computer science or related field (Required)
  • In lieu of the above requirements, equivalent relevant experience will be considered.

Experience

  • 2+ years application development experience (Preferred)

  • Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds
  • Typically travel is not required
