The Senior Specialist – Agile Management will lead efforts to modernize Ally’s Identity and Access Management (IAM) Platform posture, take authentication to the next level, and onboard Ally applications to best-of-breed centralized identity providers. In so doing, the Agile Leader will also ensure Ally manages its regulatory expectations and reduces risk in a timely manner. The Agile Leader is a consummate team player who provides best-in-class Technology Delivery to one or more squads in the IAM workspace.
The Work Itself
Required Skills
- Partner with Cyber Security Identity and Access Management engineering and development staff in the delivery of core strategic initiatives.
- Moderate and facilitate agile ceremonies: Sprint Planning, Stand-ups, End of Sprint Reporting, Retrospectives.
- Using industry best practices to size project team (squad) sprints.
- Conduct RASIC Analyses to ensure engagement of expertise within the Workforce Identity and Access Management, Partner Identity Access Management, and other IPRM resources as required.
- Ensure engagement of expertise with matrixed organizations (ETO, EUC, Application Management) where required.
- Ensure that intake and other Ad-Hoc requests receive fulfillment as work schedules permit without disruption in the delivery of key strategic initiatives.
- Engage Risk Management and Third Party Risk Management organizations as required.
- Measurement of team progress via velocity, burndown (tactical) and KPIs (strategic)
- Participate in vendor proofs-of-concept evaluations as required.
- Partner with senior leadership with reporting, organizing and leading quarterly planning activities, and engineering team (squad) capacity planning.
The Skills You Bring
Qualifications
- 3+ years of progressive Agile Management experience with certifications (PMI-ACP, CSM, PSM1, SAFE POPM, PMP, PGMP) strongly preferred
- Demonstrated Skills with both Kanban and SCRUM Agile Delivery Methodologies.
- Demonstrated experience with Atlassian Jira and Confluence strongly preferred.
- Solid communicator with strong attention to detail; ability to translate technical information into non-technical terms
- Experience delivering measurable outcomes, performance consistency, and reporting results to key process partners and stakeholders
- Experience with any of these disciplines strongly preferred: Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Identity and Access Management strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience of application team partnership in implementing technology solutions.
- Exposure to Cloud Computing, SaaS preferred.
- Exposure to the HR Workday platform preferred.
- Financial Services / Banking experience strongly preferred.
- Effective organizational, time management and planning skills; ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to give and receive feedback as part of a cohesive agile squad
- Analytical mindset and critical thinker with a continuous learning mindset; flexible and adaptable to change
- Bachelors’ degree in computer science, business administration, or related field preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job
