ABOUT THE WESTERNER

We first opened our doors in 1962 as Salt Lake City's original country dance hall, bar, and grill! Over the years, our stage has been home to well-known artists from Brad Paisley and George Jones to Rascal Flatts and The Dixie Chicks. YOUR LIFE AS A SECURITY OFFICER

This part-time patrol guard position typically works every Friday and Saturday from 8:00 PM - 2:30 AM.

As a Security Officer, you are the "set of eyes" that proactively identifies problems before they happen. We have two off-duty West Valley City police officers on-site in the parking lot every weekend to be our "muscle" if needed, but you spot the problems first. You almost play a customer service position as you are friendly, familiar, and approachable to our guests. You help provide a festive and fun environment while still staying aware as you patrol. You answer customer questions, watch the crowd for potential disagreements or for over-intoxicated people, and if needed, you bus empty glassware to help take the weight off of our floor staff on busier nights. You feel good about using your skills to keep weekend nights fun and safe for everyone!

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

• At least 21 years of age

• Ability to acquire a Utah alcohol server training card and a Salt Lake County Health Department food handler's permit within 14 days of hire
