$1,000 RENTENTION BONUS

The Security Manager works with the Director of Security in leading the Security Department with training and guidance. Leads and guides the Security Shift Supervisors, ensuring that they have the tools and training needed to run an effective department. Manages the department in the absence of the Director.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Supervises plans and schedules Security activities.
2. Determines personnel deployment and level requirements within a shift.
3. Assigns work to Security Officers and establishes priorities.
4. Oversees and directs the activities of the Security Officers to ensure the smooth flow of the security operations on assigned shift.
5. Accesses drop boxes, soft count and coin rooms, chips, markers, fill slips and other sensitive areas.
6. Assures optimum guest satisfaction through the delivery of excellent customer service.
7. Investigates accidents, injuries, lost property, property damage, etc. Sees to it that the required reports are completed to document the incident.
8. Enforces company policies as they pertain to guest and employee conduct on the premises. Documents infractions and advises management where appropriate.
9. Responds to all emergencies such as fire, injuries, property damage, etc. Directs and/or assists with evacuations if required. Investigates and completes reports concerning the same.
10. Assists the Director of Security and Operations Manager in developing and implementing new policies and procedures.
11. Verifies and approves all arrests. Apprehends (where appropriate) individuals who are observed to be engaged in criminal activity and detains these individuals until they can be turned over to law enforcement authorities. Acts as company representative to law enforcement authorities.
12. Ensures the enforcement of state gaming laws including (but not limited to) the identification and removal of underage persons from the casino floor.
13. Responds to verbal and/or physical altercations and applies or directs the appropriate measures to resolve the situation. For physical altercations, applies and/or directs the minimum amount of force necessary to restrain any and all involved.
14. Initiates formal evictions of disorderly persons.
15. Responds to and/or directs the company response to requests for medical assistance. Provides assistance consistent with company policy and the skill level and certifications of available personnel.
16. Coordinates and supervises crowd control for special events.
17. Other related duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Directly manages the Security department. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, planning and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining team members, and addressing complaints and resolving problems.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Minimum 2 years previous experience in similar position within the gaming industry.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Nevada Gaming Control Board registration & Alcohol Awareness training required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Must be able to effectively communicate in English.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Advanced mathematical comprehension required.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Must have Microsoft Office experience.
