Job Summary

Under the supervision and direction of the General Manager; ensure the security of the grounds, buildings and plant office by monitoring the site: perform duties in the safest positive manner in accordance with Company policy.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

• 
  Tours the entire facility frequently, looking for unusual situations such as smoke, leaks, or intruders; contacts one of management personnel if such a situation is noted.
• Admits only management personnel into the plant office after regular office hours; keeps a visitors list of anyone entering or leaving the facility.
• Accurately takes telephone messages and relays calls to the appropriate supervisor; completes any new or assigned duties by supervisor.
• Responsible for being familiar with and observing all company safety rules and regulations; recognizes safety as a top Company priority; attends regularly scheduled safety meetings.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age with valid drivers license.
• Manufacturing, industrial, or agricultural experience preferred.
• Prior security guard experience preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
• Communicates clearly in verbal and written form.
• Highly organized; superior time management skills.
• Ability to maintain composure in difficult situations; adaptable to changing situations.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers.

Physical Demands

• Frequently required to walk, stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, and crouch.
• Frequently required to move up to 50 lbs.
• Occasionally must push, pull, move or lift up to 100 lbs.
• Regularly required reach with hands and arms.

Work Environment

Job functions will be carried out at a plant location and in company vehicle.
