SUMMARY:

Triple Canopy Security Guards provide general security for building patrons and the general public at various state buildings within the Los Angeles, CA area.

PAY TRANSPARENCEY:

$23.00/hr

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Monitor the entry and exit of personnel at client facilities
• Inspect facilities to ensure doors, windows and roofs are secure
• Protect state property and deter theft or criminal activity by serving as a physical presence or visual deterrent while making security checks throughout client facilities
• Observe and immediately report urgent and suspicious situations to the appropriate personnel, and/or emergency services via telephone, radio or any means possible
• Prepare incident reports pursuant to the terms of the subsidiary agreement
• Carry out duties as outlined in POST procedures

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A US Citizen with social security card
• CA State Driver's License
• BSIS Guard Card
• Must possess a minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to speak, read, write and understand the English language
• Pass and maintain medical, and physical fitness standards, as required by contract

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, often without breaks, and may be required to climb stairs or ladders and walk up inclines and on uneven terrain.
• Must meet all physical and psychological standards as required by the contract
• Travel may be required

WORKING CONDITIONS

• May be subject to outdoor conditions including extreme temperatures and weather
• Subject to high noise levels
• Subject to hazards including a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals
• May be required to be fitted for and/or wear a respirator
