Overview
- The client is a unit under the Executive Office for Administration & Finance (A&F) and is overseen by the the client's Secretariat Chief Information Officer. The client is comprised of over 200 employees working on IT systems and applications for 22 various Admin/Finance agencies.
- The client is looking to fill the role of Security Analyst/IT Asset Inventory Lead that will report directly to the the client's Chief Information Security Officer (CISO).
- The role is responsible for designing, building and implementing organization's asset inventory strategy, starting with the selection and implementation of associated tools.
- They will work closely with a broad range of constituents to augment and enhance the usability of the inventory to ensure maximum utility for the organization.
- This position will be integral in establishing technology lifecycle management.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Define the organization's asset inventory and
- Develop and maintain an Asset Inventory for all hardware, software, virtual machines and devices that includes identification of owners and criticality/risk ratings
- Work across teams to incorporate data from other tools to enhance the asset inventory
- Enable metrics for monitoring assets such as expired warranties, under or overused software or hardware licenses
- Provide recommendations to make adjustments or improvements to asset performance
- Coordinate governance, processes and reporting
- Identify, assess and remediate risks associated with asset management
- Required Education, Skills and Competencies
- Experience implementing asset management strategies
- Experience developing and maintaining asset inventory tools and data
- Understanding of technology lifecycle management
- Program management skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to organize and run effective meetings
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Interpersonal skills to develop strong collaborative working relationships with a broad range of constituents
