This position is responsible for coordinating the baseline, deployment, and management of systems and
networks with an emphasis on strong, effective security controls. Individuals with experience in industrial control systems in electrical or other utility sectors are required for this position. Assists with the Patch Management Program handling the operating environments used within the Energy Management System (EMS) and the Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS). Primarily responsible for
assisting and coordinating the maintenance of BIOS/Firmware, Windows and Linux by documenting patch activities, monitoring security events, conducting vulnerability assessments, reviewing, and deploying of patches and assuring compliance with North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) requirements related to the transmission and distribution systems are meet. These are real-time systems
that enable Austin Energy Control Centers to safely operate and maintain the stability of the transmission and distribution electrical grid.
1. Manage IT vulnerability management processes, remediation, and infrastructure server patching guidance.
2. Help with the automation of system monitoring and compliance procedures.
3. Generate compliance reports related to the patch management program and event monitoring routinely.
4. Create and maintain high quality documentation related to OT processes including flow charts and data flow diagrams.
5. Analyze vulnerability data and publish metrics and reports.
6. Create and maintain inventory reports and alerts using inventory, vulnerability, and patch management systems.
7. Provide status reports to leadership related to vulnerability management metrics, key risk indicators, trending risks, compliance, etc.
8. Assist in continual design, implementation, and operationalization of security operations lifecycle to continually mature the security of
our business environment and SIEM reporting.
9. Perform research and investigate network operating environment developments to maintain the efficient functioning of Transmission
OT computer hardware and software.
10. Perform other related duties as assigned.

This role will be required to work with stakeholders to identify and document business requirements, analyzing those requirements to identify technical solutions, and preparing detailed specifications, documents and requirements reports. Work hours might variate and might be extended to off hours based on business needs.

- Experience with patch management tools such as IVANTI Endpoint Security, WSUS among others.
- Experience working with Industrial Defender Platform with asset management, baseline change and configuration management, vulnerability management, and policy compliance.
- Experience with Security and networking tools such as Splunk, Nagios, and CyberArk among others
