Qualifications:

• Must be able to work second shift hours: 4:30pm to 3am.
• Strong technical background in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems in a timely manner.
• Self-starter: takes the initiative and can perform job functions with a minimum level of both technical and administrative supervision.
• Ability to read blueprints and follow specifications.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to direct others.
• Be knowledgeable of safety, quality, and productivity.
• Strong technical and organizational skills.

Responsibilities:

• Assist Foreman with organizing, leading, and training employees to maintain manufacturing processes for conformance with written specifications and established production procedures.
• Performs dimensional checks and visual inspections.
• Enforces company safety policies and procedures.
• Reviews projects, drawings, and specifications.
• Track, log and monitor products throughout the manufacturing process.
• Follows technical, quality and safety systems in place and directs others to follow.
• Maintains testing records and reports.
• Oversees product packaging.

Education/Training/Experience:

• High school diploma/GED
• Supervisory experience
• Experience monitoring operations to ensure that they meet production standards.
• Basic familiarity with Microsoft Office programs
• Experience in a manufacturing environment

Working Condition Requirements: This position requires working in a production environment. Required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times in the shop. This is a physically demanding job where the employee is required to stand for extended periods of time, lift, push and pull heavy objects up to 50 pounds, with repetitive tasks. Benefits: After 90 days of employment all full-time eligible employees will have the option to enroll in Scott and White Health Plan for health and vision, MetLife Dental, Life insurance and Short-Term disability. In addition, Vacation after 1 year of employment and 8 paid holidays after 90-day probation is completed.
