***SEASONAL HELP OPPORTUNITY***

Timmer's Resort located on the beautiful Big Cedar Lake is looking for a seasonal Prep Cook to join our team during our busy summer season! Position duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to; Preparing menu items following recipes, maintaining cleanliness and compliance with safe food handling and sanitation requirements, and working in a team environment. Previous kitchen experience is preferred but not required! This is a non-exempt role that reports directly to store leadership.

This is a great entry-level position to kick start your culinary or restaurant career, with opportunities for growth and development!

Pay and Schedule

• Starting at $15
• Part-Time hours available, opportunity to increase hours during the summer season
• Non-exempt
• The position requires nights, weekends, and occasional holidays.

Responsibilities:

• Setting up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies and items for service.
• Preparing ingredients for assembly (e.g. chopping, dicing, cutting of vegetables, preparing sauces, etc.)
• Stocking inventory and supplies as needed.
• Following cleanliness and sanitization procedures and policies in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Education and Experience Requirements

• No education is required, except for the ability understand written and verbal instructions.
• Previous restaurant experience is preferred but not required.

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Basic knowledge of cooking including knife handling and basic equipment operation.
• Knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
• Must be able to lift, balance, and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Coordination and motor skills are required for the ability to properly handle a knife, chop items, and safe operation various kitchen equipment.
• Exposure to; extreme temperatures with fluctuations, loud noises, and wet or slippery floors.
