Job Title: Scientific Documentation Specialist
Length: ASAP start, , 9 - 12 months, possible extension
Hours: 40 a week After training hours will be 10am-7pm OR 11am-8pm (1st month training - 8:00am - 5:00pm)
Location: On-Site - Rocklin, CA
Rate: $27-$29/hr.
Education/Experience: Bachelors degree (1-3 years), no degree (3-5 years)
Department: Product Development for Cancer Diagnostics
Soft skills: Attention to detail, critical thinker multi-tasking, team player, slow and methodical
Day to day: 60% paperwork/documentation (GDP), 30% in the lab running experiments - run cancer diagnostics, 10% equipment maintenance, other

*New regulation update for their 400 products. Responsible for regulatory auditing to bring up to the new standard

Job Description:
This role will work alongside a dynamic team of research and development scientists to assist product development by performing laboratory tests (I.e., immunohistochemistry).

Essential Functions & Requirements
- Performs laboratory work (I.e., immunohistochemistry (IHC), ELISA, and any other relevant tests as needed) to conduct product development testing.
- Performs laboratory housekeeping, equipment, and calibration on equipment used within R&D activities, according to required schedules.
- Paperwork and documentation (GDP)
- Assists with generating, maintaining, and updating Design History Files (DHF) for new and/or existing products.
- Completes all work in compliance with established FDA, OSHA, USDA, EPA, ISO and Quality System regulations, as applicable. Therefore, knowledge of FDA QSRs and ISO 13485 or other related industry preferred.
- Communicates (written & oral) clearly, effectively, and professionally.
- Reads, analyzes, and interprets routine instructions, correspondence, policies, and procedures (scientific literacy).
- Maintains a high level of quality and excellence with all work performed, is detail-oriented, and can multi-task projects at various stages of completion. Able to work according to a schedule/deadline(s), and flexible to adapt when priorities change
- Is a team player.
- A Bachelor’s degree in a Life Sciences discipline or three years laboratory experience is highly preferred.
