Designs units of instructions that include the criteria established by the district.3. Develops well-structured lessons with challenging, measurable objectives and appropriate student engagement strategies.4. Designs and administers a variety of informal and formal assessments to measure each students growth toward local/state standards.5. Organizes and analyzes results from a variety of assessments to determine progress, adjust practice and implement appropriate interventions.6.

Provides regular, specific feedback to students and families on student performance, including how it can be improved.7. Welcomes and encourages every family to become active participants in the classroom and school community.8. Uses two-way communication with families about student performance and responds promptly and carefully to communication from families.9. Collaborates with colleagues to support improved student learning.10.

Clearly communicates and consistently enforces specific standards for student work, effort and behavior.11. Uses rituals and routines that create and maintain a safe learning environment.12. Instructs students in proper use, care, and safe handling of chemicals, science equipment and plant and animal life. 21.

Provides for safe storage and proper use of materials, equipment and tools. 22. Establishes and maintains standards of student behavior for productive learning environment during class sessions, laboratory sessions and field trips.23. Provides science displays and programs for the school and community and when sponsoring science events.
