At Highland School the mission is to provide our students with a safe and nurturing learningenvironment. We understand that many children and adolescents struggle with a variety ofmental health issues. For this reason, the school district opened a mental health clinic oncampus. The clinic is solely designated to provide mental health services for our pre-schoolthrough 12 th grade students and their families.The Highland School District is one of the first inthe state to directly employ Mental Health Professionals to provide therapeutic services.Highland School District is seeking an additional mental health therapist due to the increasingnumber of students with mental health needs.Job Description: The School-Based therapist works with individuals, families, and groups to address and treatmental and emotional disorders, and promotes optimal mental health. The therapist alsoassists educational staff with developing therapeutic/educational plans to best meet the needsof the students. The therapist will provide counseling and crisis services in a timely andconsistent manner.Minimum Requirements: Masters degree in counseling, psychology, social work or related field.
