Scheduler/Staffing Coordinator

We are looking to hire an efficient scheduler to join our team to help with schedule coordination for our clients and caregivers, as well as to assist with recruitment efforts! If you are someone who is organized and courteous with answering telephone calls you will be successful in this role. You should have excellent time management skills and the ability to communicate efficiently. This is an entry-level job, so we are willing to train the right candidate. PAY RATE: $17 - $18 per hour
JOB TYPE: Part Time

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Select, schedule, and coordinate caregivers based on assessment and care plan information for new and existing clients.
  • Maintain all scheduling of caregivers and respond to situations where scheduling conflicts, emergencies and/or “call-outs” arise. The company schedule must be complete three days before all scheduled shifts.
  • Communicate any caregiver changes and updates to the schedules ahead of the scheduled time with the client/family in a timely and positive manner
  • Utilize company software to track and record all scheduling changes.
  • Accept on-call duty as assigned
  • Coordinate shift back-fill activities in the event of caregiver tardiness or absences.
  • Act as point of contact with client family regarding schedules.
  • Audits clock in/outs on a regular basis to ensure hours match scheduled hours.
  • Collaborate with work team and department managers to determine hiring needs
  • Determines applicant qualifications by conducting pre-screen interviews of applicants; verifies references and compares qualifications to job requirements.
  • Attend daily team huddles
  • Perform other duties as assigned


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent education
  • Positive attitude and willingness to lead
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Preferred: Experience with scheduling software
  • Preferred: Experience in recruitment efforts
