Our St. Francis hospital is seeking an experienced Scheduler . We are looking for your experience, knowledge and patient care skills in our Radiology Department where you will be responsible for:

Responsibilities:

Provides quality customer service to ensure customer satisfaction and safety
  • Apply the SAINTS standard greeting with every patient
  • Consistently identifies patients accurately by using 2 patient identifies per policy and procedure
  • Ensure the accuracy of the ordered exam and ensures compliance with workflow guidelines per policy and procedure
  • Consistently provides appropriate patient education and communicates delays to patient when likely
  • Responds to patients with concern and compassion
  • Answers telephone in a timely/professional manner
  • Communicates accurate patient information to all radiology modalities
  • Consistently gathers and conveys accurate and appropriate information as necessary
  • Expresses verbal and non-verbal communications in a professional gracious and respectful manner to all customers
  • Adheres to policies and procedures of the department and the organization to promote a safe, professional work environment
  • Adheres to safety guidelines as evidence by use and application of universal standards, PPE, safety standards and hand hygiene
  • Adhere to hospital and departmental policies and procedures
  • Understands and follow the National Patient Safety Goals pertaining to Radiology
  • Recognize that safety is a top priority and makes a strong commitment to promote safety
  • Understands infection control and takes appropriate precautions to protect self and others
  • Reports unsafe conditions to supervisor if unable to mitigate at the time of discovery
  • Completes all mandatory education and competencies within assigned timeframe

Maintains Radiology Records

  • Maintains accurate radiology records
  • Records and processes internal and external radiology imaging request in a timely manner
  • Follows established guidelines for radiology record retention
  • Ability to work in multiple computer systems to take care of the needs of the patient, provider or other


Promotes a culture of teamwork in order to promote the highest level of performance excellence

  • Assists co-workers without being asked
  • Trains, mentors, and shares knowledge/skills with other colleagues and new associates
  • Supports teammates to better themselves through education and training
  • Assists contractors and outside vendors as needed for the benefit of the organization
  • Attends and participates in staff meetings, organizational town halls, and other offerings
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Participates in growth opportunities, special projects and committees as needed
  • Shows a willingness to be flexible to support existing team and other areas in Radiology as needed

  • Communicates problem resolution/investigation to supervisor and documents as necessary

Qualifications:
Education/Certification
  • High school diploma / GED

  • Interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities
  • Ability to perform unpleasant patient care activities
  • Ability to interpret and communicate data relevant to patients’ needs and responses to care
  • Ability to work independently
  • Coordinates mobile schedule for Nuclear Medicine staff
  • Ability to navigate EPIC, PACs and Nuance to fulfill job functions
