Statement of Duties;* Provides Guidance Services for all pupils in Grades 9-12.Oversees the selection of courses and registration for pupils in Grades 9 through 12.Insures the responsiveness of scheduling relative to student needs.Works in correcting and updating pupil programs after final grades are submitted.Confers with families on factors involved in pupil difficulties.Provides information on testing, alternative/continuing education, crisis situations, and referrals.Works with Building Team Coordinators in preparing educational histories and implementing individual educational plans for special needs pupils.Maintains pupil cumulative folders. Participates in general group guidance meetings as instructed by Supervisor of Guidance Services.Works as a member of a Child Study Team to address needs of students at risk.Provides college admissions material for pupils and families.Participates in college admissions programs for juniors and seniors and attends conferences with college representatives. Takes part in financial aid workshops for families and students.Attends 504, IEP and IST meetings.Assists in voluntary testing programs including: 1. The Preliminary Scholastic.Aptitude/National Merit examination (PSAT/NMSQT).3.

The Armed Forces Aptitude Test (ASVAB).4. Vocational/career interest assessments.5. Other student tests as deemed appropriate.Assists in implementing appropriate vocational programs.Willingness to become familiar with use of computer hardware and software as it becomes available as a Guidance tool.Performs other such duties as required by the Superintendent of Schools or his/her designee, and policies of the Saugus School Committee.Experience with NavianceExperience with SOS and SBIRT screenings
