The SAP ABAP Team Lead is responsible for the development, implementation, and rollout of SAP ABAP development. You will work closely with the cross-functional teams to understand and implement their strategic initiatives and design development on time with customer satisfaction. This role will also manage the day-to-day work of an offshore team.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage, and guide the ABAP development team.
  • Develop and promote adherence to development standards within the SAP Framework.
  • Develop custom solutions using customized transactions and user exits to provide additional functionality not available within standard SAP.
  • Present ideas and technical solutions effectively to the team through presentations and communication.
  • Provide technical expertise to the development team and analysts.
  • Design and develop custom solutions: Design, develop, and maintain custom ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, forms, and enhancements using ABAP programming language in the S/4 HANA environment.
  • Develop Fiori applications: Design, develop, and maintain Fiori/UI5 applications using SAPUI5, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3 to create intuitive and user-friendly interfaces for SAP applications.
  • Implement CDS Views and AMDP: Create and maintain Core Data Services (CDS) views and ABAP Managed Database Procedures (AMDP) to support analytical reporting and data modeling in S/4 HANA.
  • Code optimization and performance tuning: Optimize ABAP code and perform performance tuning to ensure efficient, high-performing applications.
  • Debug and troubleshoot issues in custom programs, enhancements, and Fiori applications, providing timely resolutions.

Qualifications

  • Experience with SAP Product Integrations - Concur, Commerce Cloud, Sales Force.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining Fiori/UI5 applications, with knowledge of SAPUI5, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
  • Experience with CDS Views, AMDP, and OData services.
  • Good understanding of SAP S/4 HANA modules and their integration points.
  • Broad understanding of SAP software offerings, capabilities, and implementation techniques.
  • Proficient in authoring technical specifications and documentation.
  • Proficient at mentoring other Developers as well as Functional Analysts to deliver optimum results.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Strong experience in ABAP programming, including ABAP Objects, ABAP for HANA, and ABAP on S/4 HANA.
  • Experience with SAP Workflow, WebDynpro, and Adobe Forms is a plus.
  • Strong Knowledge of Sales & Distribution and Material Management areas preferred.
