Job Summary:

Clean equipment and the room it resides in using a low-pressure hose and chemical detergent. Clean trolleys, trays, hatching units, egg setters, and any other cleaning tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following; other duties may be assigned

• Clean equipment and the surrounding room after production is complete using a low-pressure water hose.
• Apply chemical detergent via a foamer hose to remove any leftover soil.
• Rinse off chemical detergent, perform self-inspection to ensure cleaning is completed properly.
• Apply sanitizer as a final step for disinfection.
• Clean trolleys used to transport chicks to the farms using automatic washing machinery.
• Clean trays used to transport both eggs and chicks using an automatic washer.
• Perform any other assigned cleaning tasks designated by the supervisor.

Qualifications and Demands:

• No prior training or experience necessary.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
• Ability to work in a hot wet environment and be able to climb ladders if necessary.

Education and Experience:

High school education preferred but not necessary.

FOOD SAFETY:

Take a proactive role in assuring safe, quality products are produced by immediately addressing any safety or quality concerns and this position serves as the back-up for QA Supervisor position.
