Field Technician - Environmental Sampling

Part Time or Full Time

$22-26/hour

Pittsburgh, PA

Filtech is searching for an energetic and reliable Field Service Technician performing Environmental Sampling in the Pittsburgh area. As the Cleanroom Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for collection of environmental microbiological samples at sterile pharmacy cleanrooms in medical health care facilities across Western/Central PA, Ohio, Maryland, and West Virginia.

Responsibilities:

• Collection of samples from various air and surface locations to detect airborne and surface contaminants within sterile pharmacy cleanroom environments.
• Sterile gowning using customer provided cleanroom garbing.
• Creating daily chain of custody forms
• Delivery or shipping of agar samples collected to local laboratory.
• Providing a daily summary report of activities
• Assist with our operations department for final report creation
• Provide a positive customer experience by proactively helping to response to and resolve customer issues
• Increase company growth through identifying sales opportunities and communicating opportunities to management
• Travel to customer site within the regional area.
• Administrative duties to include service reports and activities on-site

Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license and excellent driving record
• Basic math skills including knowledge of geometry and algebra
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and diagnostic skills
• Experience using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Ability of pass a physical
