Location: Pittsburgh, PA - Remote
Position Summary:
The Technical Specialist role is data driven with engagements in data integrity, data governance, Data Integrity, automate importing of ETL data from various sources, database schema setup & maintenance, programming (SQL, HTML, VBA), process automation, communication, training, support, and documentation.
This role will have a direct impact on the quality of work using sales tools for 200+ sales professionals globally.
Duties and Responsibilities:
As it relates to sales tools and data, this role will drive best-practices in the following areas:
- Make connections and develop relationships with colleagues to partner on like data initiatives and reduce duplication of efforts.
- Gain a firm understanding of data schemas in our sales tools and be able to document schemas for projects in SQL.
- Adhere to a controlled software development life cycle to ensure consistency in program administration, reliability of information, documentation, communication of releases, training, and support.
- Adhere to and further improve standardization of programming practices, naming conventions, formatting of code, and automated process flows.
- Diagram ETL processes to visually represent source and destination of information.
- Work efficiently in SQL Server to create project databases and automate processes.
- Establish data audit processes to ensure accuracy in ETL workstreams.
- Take ownership of ETL processes in SQL reporting used by our sales team.
- Partner with colleagues to govern intake processes in Salesforce related to Salesforce leads and campaigns.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related field of study.
Experience
- 3+ years of relative experience leveraging relational databases.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Working knowledge of CRM software and reporting (Salesforce.com).
- Demonstrate strong analytical, critical thinking, organizational skills, detail orientation and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to understand/develop complex processes that utilize multiple inputs and data sources to transform information into a user-friendly report.
- Comfortable with large amounts of data and the ability to identify key trends and variances and summarize with a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to multi-task, a strong sense of “customer service”, ethical behavior, working with a sense of urgency and driving accurate results.
- Ability to communicate in writing and verbally with all levels in the division.
- Experience in SQL, VBA. Excel, Visio, and related Microsoft Office products is advantageous.
- Web-programming experience is an advantage (HTML, CSS, VBScript)
- Ability to create Technical Documents: requirements, process design and flows.
