Summary:
We are actively seeking candidates for a full-time sales position within the US. Candidates must have demonstrated experience in business-to-business selling within the scientific community. Candidates must have prior experience in sales or project management and a strong familiarity with laboratory testing of regulated healthcare products within the FDA-regulated industry (e.g., pharmaceuticals, biopharmaceuticals, and/or medical devices).
The Sales Account Executive will be responsible for assigned business development, internal logistical program management, and overall revenue growth of Pace Life Sciences. The ideal candidate is one who will thrive working in a highly dynamic, team-oriented environment, sharing the common goal of improving human health.
This is a remote position, preferably with the candidate located in the West Coast/Southern California.
Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:
- Represent Pace Life Sciences to prospective clients and existing clients. This will include virtual and/or face-to-face, in-person meetings at client sites, trade shows, and at other venues, as appropriate.
- Understand the capabilities of all Pace Life Sciences locations and assist in facilitating the movement of programs through the product lifecycle.
- Present capabilities to prospective and existing clients to promote PLS capabilities and inform attendees of the full range of PLS experience, certifications and credentials, and service offerings.
- Document all sales and opportunity activity within the PLS customer relationship management system.
- Collaborate with project management and operational staff to support the development of relationships with customers.
- Work with the PLS business development group to manage the overall preparation and presentation of contracts and proposals to clients ranging from routine quotations to thorough responses to large program "Request for Proposals" (RFPs) requests.
- Present periodic performance reports to key clients, such as with quarterly metrics report on the lab's performance including, but not limited to, quarterly sales, % on-time metrics, and % OOS/LIR/Reissued Report metrics.
- Manage overall client satisfaction; participates in client issue resolution as appropriate.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Minimum of a BS/BA degree in Science or Business related fields or equivalent.
- Five or more years of experience in direct selling or project management activities within the scientific community.
- Familiarity with laboratory testing of regulated healthcare products (e.g., pharmaceuticals, biopharmaceuticals, medical devices) is required.
- Ability to work with Pace Life Sciences staff in multiple laboratory locations to achieve company goals and objectives.
- Ability to work independently and travel as needed. While the position is remote, visits to customers and Pace Life Sciences sites will be required to perform the job. Frequency is expected to be 10% or less.
- Demonstrated ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers.
- Experience presenting information to top management, public groups, and trade organizations.

Working Environment:
Work is performed in a lab and office setting. Work is subject chemicals, fumes, gasses, noxious odors, and related items in a lab setting.
