IT Specialist

This position assists in the daily administration of help desk support, workstation setups and new user setups within Active Directory or Office 365. Identification, troubleshooting and correcting issues with end user trouble tickets. Assisting in LAN maintenance activities and providing PC applications along with help-desk support. The IT Specialist ensures that accounts, access privileges, standards, templates, and other user requirements remain consistent with security policies as well as handling day-to-day administration of LAN accounts.


Responsibilities

  • Provide helpdesk support and resolve problems to the end user’s satisfaction
  • Monitor open tickets assigned to the queue and process based on priority
  • Train end users in use of computer systems.
  • Support end users with any computer software or hardware problems.
  • Maintain email and set up user accounts within Office 365 Exchange
  • Assign users and computers to proper groups in Active Directory
  • Administer antivirus and security systems to protect data and computer equipment.
  • Administer system backups to ensure that all critical company data is backed up and secured daily.
  • Have basic working knowledge of our different point of sale software systems to ensure day to day support as needed

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Computer Science or related technical field (additional years of direct experience and/or certifications may substitute for education)
  • 2+ years of experience in Systems/Network Administration
  • Comptia A+ Certification preferred
  • Knowledge of Windows 10, 11, and MS Office 365
  • Basic understanding of VMware software and virtual servers
  • Working knowledge with Abura and Cisco wireless devices
  • Working knowledge with iPhone IOS

On call support: two week call rotation
