Job description

The Waldo School in in Downtown Jersey City is seeking a part-time Robotics teacher to start in the 2023 - 2024 school year. Teacher would be responsible for teaching a total of 10-11 hour-long classes per week for Grades Kindergarten - 6th, and 2 45-minute classes per week for PreK 4.

Teacher will be responsible for creating and delivering robotics lesson plans aligned with the school curriculum, observing and evaluating student performance, keeping accurate records of student progress, communicating with parents about student successes and goals, participating in ongoing training sessions and staff meetings, and integrating a variety of resources and teaching methodologies into the classroom, among other responsibilities. Teacher must have 2-3 years experience teaching their subject area and a minimum of a Bachelor's degree. Salary will be paid on a per-class basis.
