We're looking for someone to join our team as a Program Manager, Bariatrics who: Oversees the aspects of the Bariatric patient program. Assists in program development, managing the accreditation process and ensuring continuous compliance with Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program (MBSAQIP) requirements. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned personnel using both professional and supervisory discretion and independent judgment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Assists in administrative functions and the development and implementation of patient care protocols, clinical pathways and in updating patient policies and procedures for care of bariatric patients.

Utilizes time constructively and organizing assignments for maximum productivity. Maintains acceptable standards in the areas of attendance, professionalism, and establishing harmonious working relationships. Ability to lead and direct interdisciplinary work groups.

Oversees program data collection, quality improvement efforts and education of relevant staff in various aspects of the patient with a focus on patient safety.

Maintains confidentiality regarding sensitive issues and information as required by the Health Information Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other confidentiality requirements. Ensures compliance with the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program (MBSAQIP) requirements.

Ability to make administrative and clinical decisions related to the assessments, treatments and/or age-specific care of patients.

Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree (BSN): Preferred

Work Experience:

• Nursing Experience: Preferred
• Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery experience: Preferred

Required Licenses/Certifications:

Registered Nurse (RN) license: Required

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: Required
